Alternative training....

Sifu George Gauld's club was visited by Sensei Kev last week to increase his understanding of street defence techniques.
The session included punching combinations with partners, blocking techniques and restraints.
What was interesting is that all the basic techniques within Shotokan Karate were present within the session, which were tweaked slightly.
George has also been training with Blackpool and Wyre Karate Ryu for some years and has gained black belts in several other traditional disciplines.
Was it worth the visit?
