New owner for the rising star award is announced.......
Thursday the 7th of June 2012 was not only the last night of training for the club at the YMCA dojo, but it was also the night when the Rising Star Award, was awarded to Sensei Michelle Adamson (IJKA 4th Dan).
The award is now in the hands of Mich, who is the second person at the club to be presented with this award, which is only awarded twice a year to those who demonstrate commitment to Karate at the Blackpool and Wyre Dojo.
Chief Instructor Sensei Ron Bellwood, gave a spirited insight into the year which had been a difficult time for Mich, whose mother had become seriously ill, however she continued to train hard and never lost her focus for Karate during this difficult period for them both.
Mich has been a regular at the club for many many years, who has a fountain of knowledge to share with you all, who is a very good teacher of the art, who we can all learn from.
Well done Mich and to the memory of Sensei Danny Ball, you have done us and him proud........
